BASF PETRONAS Chemicals wins Supply Chain Excellence Awards

It was a pleasant surprise for BASF PETRONAS Chemicals to win the Supply Chain Excellence Award in Chemical Manufacturing category at the recently completed SCM Logistics World Conference in Singapore, as it was nominated with fourteen other well-known companies such as Shell, Eastman Chemicals and Lanxess.

A total of 11 awards were given out during the conference to leading organisations and individuals from the manufacturing, technology and service industries for achievements in transforming the supply chains for greater corporate success.  The SCM Logistics World Conference is the largest supply chain conference in Asia Pacific and has been organised since 2005.

The advisory board and panel of judges were from various industries and from the academic sector like IBM, World Bank Group (USA), INSEAD (France), Boehringer Ingelheim (Germany), Fonterra (New Zealand), Georgia Institute of Technology (USA), etc. The main judging criteria taken into consideration in the deciding the award winners are:
